Vimbai Katherine Mutinhiri is a Zimbabwean model, actress and television personality. Before she participated in Big Brother Africa Amplified (the sixth season of Big Brother Africa reality show) in 2011, she studied in South Africa where she graduated from the University of Cape Town with an Honours degree in philosophy, economics and politics (Bachelor of Social Science in Politics, Philosophy and Economics). In her career, she had a steady rise from a virtually unknown Harare girl to the red carpets of Africa, gaining fame all over the continent, with the help of her co-hosting in Star Gist, another production of the AfricaMagic channels.

Vimbai Mutinhiri was born in Harare, Zimbabwe in February 18, 1987. She was raised in Belgrade, Serbia and Johannesburg, South Africa. Her parents are both cabinet ministers, Zimbabwean politician Ambrose Mutinhiri and Zimbabwe Labour and Social Welfare's Deputy Minister Tracy Mutinhiri. She is the last child in a family of four.

Vimbai began her entertainment career at a young age. When she was only 15 years old, she starred in a short film entitled “Who's In Charge?” which was featured at the Zimbabwe International film festival. She played a lead role in Studio 263, an African TV series which is Zimbabwe's first and longest running soap opera. She also continued her modelling career by doing major campaigns for MTV Base, Bio Oil, Estee Lauder and Zain as she completed a Bachelor of Social Science in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

In 2011, Vimbai gained more popularity when she joined Big Brother Africa Amplified (wherein she was the 16th housemate to be evicted on Day 84), strengthening her presence within her country. Her charisma and passion for entertainment gave her the privilege to host some of Africa's biggest events, particularly the Magic Viewers Choice Awards. She also became a fashion model at the Zimbabwe Fashion Week.
